　　片名的字面意思是“Super Boom”。电影讲述的是大学新人史密斯（托马斯·戴克 Thomas Dekker 饰）性向未定，他对室友索尔（克里斯·泽尔卡 Chris Zylka 饰）颇感兴趣，但后者直男一枚，好像没什么搞头；他的女生好友史黛拉（海莉·贝内特 Haley Bennett 饰）带来一个个女同志加入小圈子；双性恋、同性恋、狂野性派对，故事转啊转，转出一宗谋杀案…....这一切到底是真实还是梦境呢？
　　一部从制作和故事角度同时荒谬的美国校园青春性喜剧，集幽默与恐怖于一身，有科幻也有恐怖元素。格雷格·阿拉基在片中将这些相差千里的不同风格故意糅合到一起，令人不禁联想到其著名的堕落三部曲。本片入围戛纳电影节一种关注单元，获得第一届酷儿棕榈奖。
