简　　介

　　1942年的新几内亚岛，澳大利亚正与日本对战。澳第39营的步兵小分队被派遣在部队驻扎地，科科达地带上的伊苏拉瓦村以外巡逻。
在日军持续的轰炸和袭击后，小分队的供应线及通讯被切断。他们被隔离在敌线后方的丛林中。他们必须突围，穿过一段最艰难的地段返回大部队。随着状况越来越困难，忠诚开始形成，坚强及软弱开始出现，领导力、争斗在威胁着小分队的成与败。
三天没有食物和睡眠，抬着受伤的战友，遭受着痢疾和疟疾的困扰，他们走出了丛林，但也已精疲力竭。但当他们得知伊苏拉瓦就要沦陷时又竭尽全力重返战斗。
该电影源自一个真实的故事。受到澳大利亚战斗精神的启发。
