In 1814, a renowned ukiyo-eartist named Tetsuzo spends his days working tirelessly to create a variety of works in his cluttered home, both as an outlet for his own creativity and to fulfill the many contracts he has with clients throughout Japan. Meanwhile, his spirited daughter O-Ei also churns out paintings in her father’s stead without receiving credit. In fact, her work is so good that it’s often a source of tension between the two. However, they always seem to be able to work things out one way or another.
