简　　介


　　当他与伙伴一起弄爆青蛙来恶作剧时，他的两个伙伴只有天真的顽皮，而从他的眼里，似乎可以看到一种诡异的兴奋。
Seth的父亲给他讲了关于吸血鬼的故事，于是在他小小的头脑里，那个面色苍白，白天总是戴着墨镜的寡妇Dolphin Blue就想像成一个活生生的吸血鬼。后来，不幸发生，他的一个伙伴被杀害，而他被指认为凶手的父亲因不堪内心的重负而自焚身亡。Seth参加了太平洋海战的兄长Cameron退伍归来，在墓地，他看到了Dolphin。而Seth不切实际的幻想和那种对生活近似封闭的看法让这个孩子的内心发生了更多的变化，他唯一关心的人只有这个兄长，而他的兄长此刻正处于被吸血的危险里。尽管Seth很清楚杀害他伙伴的是谁（或者他看到了，却对此毫无反应），尽管他心里了解Dolphin并不是凶手（即便她是吸血鬼），Seth对这个守寡女人的仇恨越来越强烈。她是一个吸血鬼，一个奇怪的苍白女人，最重要的是，她把属于Seth的关怀夺走了。而在一个炎热的午后，Dolphin的尸体在田野里被发现，Cameron的心和她一起死了。我觉得此时的Seth，眼神里流露出对Dolphin死亡的狂喜，但当看到Cameron破碎的心，也许，他也同时明白了Dolphin死前对他说的那些话。他从童年的阴霾里醒来，发现自己失去了一切……
